TeamViewer is built for support teams, and its free version is for personal use only. If what you actually do is reach your own Mac, PC or Linux machine — from home, from work, from a phone — ManyScreens is built for exactly that, and nothing in it decides whether your use looks commercial.
In TeamViewer’s own words, from its help center:
That is a fair way to fund a free tier, and TeamViewer is open about it. It is also why its own community forum keeps a pinned thread for commercial-use timeouts, started in 2017 and still collecting replies in 2026. [3]
ManyScreens has no usage classification. Nothing in it looks at how often you connect, to how many machines or from which network, and sessions with your own computers have no timer. Free’s limits are stated in advance — three computers, one screen at a time, lower quality through the relay — and none of them is about what you use it for.
